The cheapest way to change a room
A trim wall adds depth, shadow and a reason for the eye to stop, and it does it without touching structure, plumbing or electrical. It is the least expensive dramatic change available in most rooms.
Layout is the design decision
Spacing has to relate to the room, the ceiling height and any windows or outlets in the field. Getting that wrong makes the wall look like a mistake rather than a feature, which is why it gets set out on site.
Material and paint decide the result
MDF and primed pine behave differently, take paint differently and cost differently. On a wall that will never see moisture, MDF gives a crisper edge for less money. In a basement or a bathroom it is the wrong choice and it will tell you so eventually.
The finish coat matters as much as the layout. A trim wall painted in a flat wall paint loses the shadow lines that make it worth building in the first place.

Design Trim Walls is measured on site. Grade, access, existing conditions and the things behind the walls all change the number, and none of them are visible in a photograph. Cory walks the space, works through the design decisions with you, takes the dimensions and sends a detailed written bid rather than a range.
Follow up runs on a schedule so nothing sits: twenty-four hours, seventy-two hours, then one week. A signature and a deposit put the work on the calendar. If something is found once a wall or the ground is open, it is priced and agreed before it is built rather than appearing at the end.
