HomeHandyman › TV Mounting

TV Mountingdone properly.

Televisions mounted over drywall, brick and stone, with the cables managed and the mount rated for the set.

Finished interior by OnCall Home Co.

OnCall mounts televisions on drywall, brick and stone fireplaces, finds the framing, and hides the run. It is priced flat by the service and quoted from a photo of the wall.

What decides the price

Wall type and cable management, not how long it takes. A stud wall with an outlet behind the set is straightforward. Brick, stone and a fireplace chase are more work and the price says so before anybody arrives.

Send one photo of the wall straight on and one from the side. That shows the outlet position, the mantel depth and whether there is anywhere for the cable to go.

Over a fireplace

Mounting over a firebox is the most requested version and the one with the most ways to go wrong. Heat, depth, and getting a power and signal path through masonry all have to be solved before the bracket goes up.

What you get, and what you do not

The set ends up level, at the height you actually watch from rather than the height that was easiest to drill, on a mount rated for its weight and not the next size down. Cables are routed rather than draped. The old mount, the packaging and the dust go with us.

What is not included is the electronics. Setting up your streaming boxes, pairing a soundbar or configuring a receiver is not this service and Cory will say so rather than fumble through it and charge you for the time. The bracket, the wall and the wire are the job.

How tv mounting gets quoted

TV Mounting is priced flat by the service rather than by the hour. Send photos and a short description by text and a price comes back within 24 hours, with no appointment and no scheduling window burned on a job that takes an afternoon. The number you approve is the number on the invoice, which means the risk of anything unexpected behind the wall sits with the contractor rather than with you.

If several small jobs have been building up, send them all in one message. They come back itemized service by service, so you can take all of it or part of it, and doing them in one visit costs less than doing them across three.

Where OnCall does this work

TV Mounting is available across the twelve communities OnCall serves: Fishers and Geist, Noblesville, the Morse Reservoir area and Cicero, Westfield, Carmel, Zionsville, McCordsville, Brownsburg, Greenwood and Indianapolis itself. The radius is set by drive time rather than by a county line, so if your town is not on that list it is worth asking rather than assuming.

OnCall runs four categories and turns down anything outside them. No car chargers, no full kitchen remodels, no pools. That is a deliberate decision about margin and risk, and it is the reason the work inside those four categories is good. There is a vendor list for the rest, offered once you have a reason to trust the recommendation.

Questions we get asked

Can you mount on brick or stone?

Yes. Say so when you send the photo, because it changes the anchors and the price.

Will the cables be hidden?

Where there is a legal path for them, yes. On masonry that sometimes means a surface raceway painted to match, and Cory will tell you which it is before you book.
